World Series by Renault 2005
What a great event this was (despite the weather on the Saturday). Held at Donington Park it was a total Renault weekend. Loads of Spiders and other Renault cars and Renault powered cars, such as the DeLorean. Some very famous drivers (Jean Ragnotti and Rene Arnoux) and a lot of new friends.
Despite the weather, there was a great turnout for this event, with Renault rumoured to have given away 150,000 tickets for the two day event. My Spider ended up on the Renault Historic Collection stand, along with some VERY famous cars and people. I went out on the track along with some other cars to do some high speed demo laps. The weather was so bad that we could hardly even see each other. I went out last but passed everyone and got in the most laps. One of the guys came in after one lap, his slick tyres were useless, but my full race wets did the job.
