Renault Sport Spider Light Weight Compomotive Rims
We had these wheels made for our own race team by Compomotive. They are a proper race three piece split rim. Lighter in weight than the original OZ race rims, these 3 part magnesium alloy split rims are held together with titanium bolts. The key benefit is reducing the unsprung weight of the car. These rims give a weight saving of 23% on the rear and 18% on the front. Every little counts when you're racing the cars competatively.........but they also look fantastic.
The rears are the same size and offset as the original Spider race OZ rims. The fronts are the same diameter and take the same size of tyre, but we played about with the offset and made the front track slightly wider on the car. This means you will have to trim away some of the front bodywork to get them to fit....but it also makes the car grip better for racing!!!
